A recent study released today by PennPIRG and a broad coalition of voter protection groups found that Pennsylvania’s new photo ID voting law could potentially disenfranchise more than 80% of the state’s college students.
From World War II until just a few years ago, the number of miles driven annually on America’s roads steadily increased. Then, at the turn of the century, something changed: Americans began driving less. By 2011, the average American was driving 6 percent fewer miles per year than in 2004. The trend away from driving has been led by young people.
Washington, D.C. – With the student loan interest rate about to double this July for almost 8 million loan borrowers, Florida PIRG and coalition partners deliver over 130,000 letters to Congress urging a different plan.
